Selection Criteria -->

For the hierarchical ranking of candidates, there are three (3) main criteria with corresponding weighting factors, which cumulatively determine each candidate’s total score.

The first two criteria are common to all candidates.

1st criterion:

The undergraduate degree grade.
The candidate’s score based on this criterion is equal to the undergraduate degree grade multiplied by four (4).

The grade the candidate will receive after a personal interview before the Postgraduate Student Selection Committee (PSSC).
The candidate’s score based on this criterion is equal to the interview grade—with a maximum of ten (10)—multiplied by three (3). Factors considered for the interview score include letters of recommendation, performance in undergraduate courses relevant to the PSP (excluding courses mentioned in the 3rd criterion below), any scientific publications, diploma theses (where applicable at the undergraduate level), postgraduate degrees, work experience in positions related to the PSP’s subject matter, etc.

The 3rd selection criterion is not common to all candidates and is determined based on the candidate’s graduating Department and their corresponding background in undergraduate courses taught in Statistics – Probability, as well as Actuarial Science.

The Department Assembly, by its decision, defines the individual weighting factors for the three (3) criteria. The candidate’s score based on this criterion is equal to the average grade of the corresponding courses multiplied by three (3).
